Frequently asked questions

Clear answers when you want more detail.

Here you'll find the most common questions about Aleko gathered in one place.

What does Aleko do?

Aleko knows the monitored average-speed sections, detects when a session starts, and follows live average-speed progress through the section.

Does Aleko replace Waze or another navigation app?

No. Aleko is built to work alongside Waze and other navigation apps, tracking your average speed in the background while you keep routing and road reports on screen.

Why does Aleko need location access?

Without precise location, the app cannot reliably detect section entry and exit. Without background location, monitoring stops when Aleko is no longer on screen.

What does background mode mean?

It means Aleko can keep tracking your average speed and show alerts even when it is not on screen and you are using another app, such as Waze.

Does Aleko send my location to external servers?

No. Your tracking data and settings stay on your device, not on external servers.

How does the free session work?

Aleko includes one free full section session so you can try the real tracking flow before choosing Premium.

What remains available without Premium?

Map browsing and section details remain accessible. The lock applies to starting new monitored sessions after the free one has been used.

How do I restore a purchase?

Use Restore Purchases in the app while signed into the same App Store or Google Play profile that completed the original purchase.
